Hello there! I’m Lindsey Sparks. Welcome to my blog. I started book blogging so that I can remember more of what I read and take time to pause and reflect when I finish a book.  I enjoy following other book blogs and adding to my ever expanding TBR list.

Random facts about me:

  • I am one of about five Okies who love hockey. (Go Pens!)
  • I’m obsessed with British history and literature.
  • I’ve dressed up as Hermione for Halloween on multiple occasions.
  • I once beat a group of elementary ed majors when playing a Harry Potter trivia game.
  • I’ve ridden an elephant, played with a baby tiger in someone’s living room, stuck my hand in a rhino’s mouth to feed it, and swam with dolphins.
  • But my precious cats Optimus Prime and Lucy are my favorite animals.
  • I’m an INTJ, so I like people to make sense. They usually don’t.
  • My reading tastes are eclectic and I always read more than one book at a time. Usually I’m in the middle of about four.
  • I was horrified when I found out The Baby-Sitters Club books used ghostwriters. I didn’t learn this until I was 27. I wish I had never known.
  • I love General Hospital. I’ve watched it for 15 years.
  • Favorite books, in no particular order:
          – A Tree Grows in Brooklyn
          –
    Pride and  Prejudice
          –
    Gulliver’s Travels
          –
    Vanity Fair
          –
    Bleak House
          –
    Harry Potter
          – Joy in the Morning
          –
    A Little Princess
  • Favorite movies: Empire Records and Monty Python and the Holy Grail
  • I’m stuck in the ‘90s when it comes to music. I love: Stone Temple Pilots (the husband is not responsible for my crush on Scott Weiland, but it pre-dates my meeting Ryan), Local H, Everclear, the Offspring, Flyleaf, the Meat Puppets, the Toadies, Bleach, and many more. I’ve seen all of those except Everclear in concert.
